Course Requirements & Etiquette
To enable all players to enjoy their game and our course the following conditions apply.
Dress regulations apply both on the course and in the Clubhouse and they apply to all guests and visitors.
Admittance may be refused if dress attire does not conform.
A minimum of neat, casual, golf attire is required at all times.
Golf shoes with socks are to be worn on the course. Soft spikes are preferred. If wearing shorts, then socks must be white.
The following forms of dress are not suitable for both course and clubhouse:
- Rubber thongs, large rippled or dimpled soled shoes
- Singlets, tank tops, overalls
- Shirts with offensive slogans
- Beach or football shorts, brief shorts, bike or lycra pants
- Soiled or torn work wear
- Track suits
On course etiquette
- All player are required to carry a sand bucket
- Replace divots or fill divots with sand
- Use rubbish bins provided
- Walk briskly between shots.
- Hit off before marking your card – if it’s your honour.
- Be ready to play when it’s your turn.
- Keep up with the group in front
- Local rules are displayed on Pro Shop notice board, please note prior to hitting off
Liquor Licensing
Laws regarding the responsible service of alcohol apply and guests under the age of 18 are not to partake of alcohol. Alcohol may only be purchased from the Mt Barker District Golf Club and is permitted to be consumed by guests both in the clubrooms, or outside the clubrooms and on the course.
Alcohol not purchased from the Mt Barker District Golf Club is not permitted (unless prior arrangement with the Club Management), and cannot be consumed by guests both inside the clubrooms, or outside the clubrooms or on the course.

Damage & Conduct
Guests are responsible for any damage sustained on the day to the Course or the Club including Golf Carts, Hired Clubs, Clubrooms and equipment, bathrooms and equipment.
The Club will not accept any responsibility for damage or loss of guest property left in the Club prior, during or after the Golf Day. Guests should arrange their own insurance and/or security.
The Club reserves the right to exclude or eject any or all-objectionable persons from the Golf Course or Club premises without liability.
Insurance
It is the responsibility of the guest to obtain their own insurance cover including Public Liability.
The Mt Barker-Hahndorf Golf Club will take no responsibility for any claim or loss by any player. |
